The name ‘Quiltcharette’ comes from the desire to give and receive honest feedback on quilt design and construction.  I thought that a blog might be a good place for that, and that may or may not happen here in the future.

For now, I sometimes just have an urge to write about my quilting efforts – both the successes and the failures.  And since I’m learning lots of new things, I’m still making lots of mistakes.  🙂  Also I’m drawn to putting smiley faces and frowny faces in my writing.  Can’t seem to make myself stop it.

Blogs are new to me, and I’ve a zillion things to learn.  My name is Tam Gardner, and I live in Portland, Oregon.  I’m a member of both the Northwest Quilters Guild and the Portland Modern Quilt Guild, and I admire quilts and quilters in both of those very different guilds.  It’s all so much fun!  🙂
